[Rei is roaming the mansion looking for Bagheera. She's carrying a slightly modified communication device tied to a thick cord in one hand and what looks like a smoothie in the other.

Occasionally she stops and just leans on the wall or sits on the stairs, drinking her smoothie and looking around.

[He nodded once, thinking he could understand that.]

That's its nature. It changes you. And also gives you strength when you need it most.

Yes.

[A pause of sorts.]

Were you looking for someone before this?

Bagheera.

Mn. To give him that? [He indicated toward the modified communication device.]

Yes.

He has no thumbs.

You're right. [That was a long pause considering what she had wanted to say.]

You did the modification?

Yes.

[A nod, and then a pause.]

... Rei. Could I ask you for your help once more?

[Sipping her smoothie.]

Yes.

[Minato held his own comm device in hand.]

You've sent me an unhackable message before. Could you show me how you did that?

[Rei sets down her smoothie and takes the device from him. Holding it between them, she demonstrates how to do this, though she says nothing as she performs the action.]

[Minato watched carefully, not wanting to ask her to do this again since he hadn't wanted to trouble her. He stayed silent and let her work until she was finished.]

[When she finishes she looks at him.]

Okay?

[He gave her a nod, committing this demonstration to memory.]

[She passes the device back to him and retrieves her smoothie.]

[Minato took the device back, thanking her again for it and for her help. Whenever he did meet with her, it was quiet or peaceful, like the landscapes from her imagination. He had been so used to others around him doing all the talking instead, thus it was different, or a nice change, to be with her. But sometimes, maybe it was a little too quiet.

After a moment or two of sitting in silence, he took off the headphones from around his neck, offering one of the earpieces to her.]

[Rei looks nonplussed for a moment, then smiles a bit and takes it, securing it on her own ear.]

[Minato checked and made sure that it was on her ear correctly so it was comfortable and delivered the best sound. He smiled and put the second earpiece on his own ear.

He lowered the volume of the MP3 player just a bit and reset his current playlist to start it from the beginning with this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgqLNh51lhk). He wasn't sure if she would like it or even music at all, but this was one way to find out.]

[Rei listens quietly, drinking her smoothie.]

[Minato smiled, seeing that she hadn't objected after the music started. His MP3 player was still on his lanyard, but he offered it to her as well, if she wanted to look at it or change the song or adjust the volume to her liking.]

[She does look at the playlist, but she doesn't make any adjustments before passing the mp3 player back to him.]

[He nodded once, taking back the player and letting it hang around his neck. He continued to sit next to her, enjoying her company and the current atmosphere and not going anywhere until she was ready to do so.]
