[Rei is in the music room with her violin. The device is sitting on the piano and the shot is framed slightly off center so that she's off to the side of the frame. The music is fast and turbulent, at times discordant, but always superbly played.

Then something jostles the camera to reveal eight bony, distended black wings radiating from her back. (See icon.)

If you approach her, you probably won't find the calm, apathetic Rei you've known up to this point.]

[Due to the event, Rei was no longer able to resist the urge to go to the vendors and get a violin. Thus, this can be heard over the network, and probably on a good portion of the first floor.]

[ooc: okay, I can't remember if she plays the violin or viola in Death and Rebirth. ;;;; And that probably isn't even considered canon but I CLEARLY DON'T CARE.

...But if it's supposed to be viola just pretend that's what you're listening to.]

There are vampires here. I wish to speak with you.

[The camera is sitting on top of the somehow undamaged piano in the ruined music room. Rei is sitting at the keyboard, her face expressionless as she slowly plays what sounds like Beethoven's ninth.

She almost gets to the end of the theme when her head snaps up, her expression hardening as she looks at something off screen.]

...Ikari-kun.

[There is no hint of surprise or fear in her voice or expression. She stands up and there's a glimpse of the handgun she's holding before she steps out of the range of the camera.

The sound of several gunshots can be heard, followed by Rei screaming once before the video goes out.]

[Initially, when the feed turns on, it shows the book in Rei's lap with her notes scribbled in the margins. The text is in German while her penciled in notes are in Japanese.

She turns the device around to face her, briefly panning around to show that she is sitting on the roof. Her hair shifts slightly in the breeze. She is wearing a pair of glasses that don't look like they belong to her. One of the lenses is cracked.]

Mister Sinclair. [Her voice is soft, as always.] I have the information you asked for.

[She looks at the camera without blinking for a long moment, then adds] I do not think it will help you.

[Rei is in her room, minus the blood shown in the picture. The light is dim and she's sitting on her bed, looking out through a crack in the drapes.]

This event...

Again, I haven't noticed anything strange.

[When the camera comes on, Rei's expression is totally devoid of the normal surprise or aggravation of a new arrival. She is standing beside the fountain in front of the mansion, still wearing her entry plug suit.]

I do not know how I am alive. [Her voice is soft and monotone.] This place is not Tokyo-3. Explain where I am and how I came to be here. Is the Commander here? Or the Third Child?

[She pauses for just a moment, then adds] Please respond.
