second_first: (like a flower never taught to grow)
[Rei's room is much brighter than normal. An entire wall has been replaced with a view of green fields leading up to distant mountains set against a sky so blue it almost hurts to look at. The floor seems to drop off into thin air and clouds drift past, sometimes edging into the room proper.

The camera is set up on some surface opposite this landscape and Rei is standing to one side, near the edge of the floor, facing it, her face hidden by her hair and the angle at which she's standing. A breeze from "outside" the room ruffles her skirt as she stands and watches the clouds pass by.]
second_first: (here where the world is quiet)
[Rei is sitting in the grass on the grounds, reading. Although she's "highly delusional"--what with thinking she comes from a post-apocalyptic earth and that she fights angels and is the vessel for a super-, proto-being from distant space--she's not considered violent or enough of a threat to be constantly contained.

She is not, however, supposed to be away from the supervision of at least one of the staff when she's outside her room. And since there are no staff to be seen around her, she may or may not be getting into some trouble soon.]
second_first: (I'm sleeping in my urn feeling just fine)
[Rei is sitting on her bed with her knees drawn up and her arms wrapped around her legs. The room is dimly lit except for light coming through a thin crack in her curtains. Her face is turned away from the camera as she looks out through the space in the curtains. The bandages she had been sporting as she moved through people's dreams are absent in reality, though there is mottled bruising on her forearms.]

So that is dreaming.

[She's silent and unmoving for several long moments.]

A waste of time.

[She goes back to staring out the window. The feed times out.]
second_first: (red strays of ruined springs)
[Rei has never had a dream before. So far, she's only stepped in and out of other peoples' dreams, examining them. Now it seems that her mind has the idea and she finds herself dreaming.

She's wearing her entry plug suit, back inside her Eva during a harmonics test. Slowly, she opens her eyes and leans back in her seat. Voices can be heard over her communications link, but they're indistinct and soft.]

Again. I didn't want to come back.

[She closes her eyes, then opens them again. Her Eva is gone now and she's standing in Terminal Dogma, staring up at Lilith.]

...We are not the same.
